Fallen soldier’s body returns to Enterprise Jul 29 2010 12:00AM By Melissa Braun Sun Staff Writer The body of Andrew Hand will be returned home tomorrow.
Army officials will fly the body of Andrew Hand, killed in Afghanistan last week, to the Enterprise Municipal Airport.
A visitation will be held at Sorrells Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8.
Enterprise First Baptist Church Pastor Sonny Moore will preside over a memorial service for Hand Saturday at 2 p.m.
A second memorial service will be held for Hand Monday in Birmingham at Liberty Church. Pastor Bruce Terry will preside over the service.
Following the service, Hand will be buried in the Alabama National Cemetery, also known as the Arlington of the South, in Montevallo.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Kay Hand of Enterprise; two sons, Tristan Nicholas Laine Hand and Gavin Austin Lee Hand, both of Enterprise; his parents, Kenneth and Renee Hand of Birmingham and Phyllis and Jerry Parris of Birmingham; one sister, Laura Hand Davis and one brother, Robert Bagwell, two nieces and one nephew, all of Birmingham.
