Is There a Santa Clause?

Posted by Quilla in Untagged

Quilla

Do you remember the exact moment that you learned there was no Santa Claus? You would think that uncovering the truth about such a serious subject (to children anyway) would be a memorable occasion. I have to admit I don't recall a single detail about learning this closely-held secret. If I had to guess, I'd probably blame it on my little sister, Paula, but that's another story for another time. I'd like to share with you the story of how my son learned there was no Santa because that's one occasion I'll never forget.

Preserve your memories with Crystal Heirlooms

Posted by Quilla in Untagged

As many of you may know, I've been given the opportunity to escape from the real world by creating some of the ads you see on WiregrassLive. When I get the chance to actually meet the person behind the enterprise, the experience is made even more enjoyable. When I began the pleasant process of designing the ad for Crystal Heirlooms, I visited their website (http://crystalheirlooms.blogspot.com/) to glean as much as I could about the business. I was immediately intrigued by what I saw! Crystal Heirlooms takes your favorite photos or treasured mementos and through some incredible, over my head process, they fuse it to a piece of stunning crystal. Fuse may not be the right word here as your photo is returned to you. Emailed pictures and keepsakes can be transformed into crystal creations as well.

Weekend Wimp

Posted by Quilla in Untagged

Quilla
With cool temperatures expected this weekend, many of you may be planning to work on previously heat -hampered outdoor chores. Weeds may need pulling, leaves are starting to pile up, and the chill in the air makes it a little easier to get motivated.  Not me. I was pleasantly surprised when viewing the new releases in fiction this week that two of my favorite authors had new works available in stores this Tuesday. I had to opportunity to pick them up Wednesday.

I wait for new releases like a child waits for Christmas. I've already burned through three quarters of one of them, but have decided to put it down, savor the moment, and share my excitement.
